Tag Your Fauxlowers Profile…Or Someone Else’s!
Posted by Antone Roundy under Announcements , Social MediaAdd Your Comments
Here’s the next step in the process of transforming Fauxlowers.com from mildly entertaining to actually useful: tagging. You can now tag your profile with terms that describe you and use those tags to search for other members with the same tag (hint: people you may want to follow on Twitter). And if another member hasn’t already edited their tags, you can tag them too!
Free members can have 3 tags on their profiles. Upgraded members (also “free”, by the way :-) can have 7. Yes, that’s not a lot. But it’ll force people to focus on their most important tags rather than spamming the site with every keyword they can imagine.
To edit your tags, go to your options page. To edit another member’s tags, go their their Fauxlowers.com profile. To search for members with the same tag, click the tag name on any tagged member’s profile.
Negative tags are not allowed, even if they’re true. That’s just the way we roll here. Members can delete the tags others have added to their profiles, and once a member has edited their own tags, no one else will be able to tag them anymore.
Once more profiles have been tagged, I may add a “cloud” of the most popular tags, etc.
